Laura West, LAPC, MAMFT, MSN, CCSAS  is a Christian Counselor specializing in Step Family issues and conflict.  She has a masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families navigate difficult life transitions, including divorce and remarriage.  She received her undergraduate degree from Samford University and a master's degree in Nursing from the University of Alabama in Birmingham.  She comes to the counseling field with 30 years of nursing experience.  Laura's personal experience with divorce and remarriage  was the catalyst for her returning to Psychological Studies Institute for a masters in Marriage and Family Therapy.
